What is enkel.life? – the focus on elderly, the family and the home.

If you haven’t already, head on over to My Story to learn about me, personally. But here I wanted to go into more detail on why enkel.life focuses on what it does.
I wanted to briefly look at each area on and how the relationship between these areas that has led to what you see as enkel.life.
The best way I can show you is through a Venn gram.
Family
This area includes all things from pregnancy, babies, and children. Parenthood and relationships, wellness and health. Why? because I am a father, married, and I believe I am intentional in all aspects of this life; bringing all our experiences as a family and the learnings we have to you.
Here I look at hour tech, products intersects with our life to improve it.
Elderly
I have a Bachelor of Human Services and a Master of Social Work and have worked in the in-home support secure for much of my social work career. My focus is to assist the elderly to live independently and safely in their own home for as long as possible with the aim to avoid or minimize the need to enter into a permanent care facility.
It is with my expertise in this area that I want to bring information to you to learn and help your own aging family or friends in their own homes knowing of the support you can access. This is called aging in place.
I am particularly interested in how new and trending technology, smart and now AI can be used to best support the people we care for as they age.
Home
It is with these two areas in mind that the relationship became evident to me. Each area has a core foundation that is crucial to be successful: the home.
So bringing these areas together I also focus on home life.
How do we make our lives better for our health and wellbeing, and more functional but creative?
As someone who is creative and hands-on in home-making, these areas have become its own focus as well as an important relationship to both raising a family and how the elderly also remain living independently as possible in their home.
These triune aspects then become enkel.life:
an interwoven relationship of wisdom and information to give to the world based on my experiences and expertise.
These areas all are underpinned by a philosophy of simplicity.

A way to illustrate this is through the analysing the micro-level of our personal environment.
The home being the centre with your family both young and old.
Through the use of technology we look at ways to bring safety in our the individual (and family as a whole) that impact our social, community as shown in the middle sphere.
And lastly the technology we use surrounds us to bring about those elements to support safety, community, social and our life in general.
The enkel sphere of influence

And this is how enkel.life evolved. A conglomeration of my professional expertise as a social worker, father, and husband. Also engaging my interests, creative pursuits and experiences.
Ultimately, enkel.life is about family and how to maximise its potential to live a fulfilling life.
And on that note head on back to home.
